SIFMA 2023 Capitol Hill Challenge

Reps. Beatty and Kim deliver remarks at the SIFMA 2023 Capitol Hill Challenge Awards Ceremony in the U.S. Capitol

The annual Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Foundation Capitol Hill Challenge invites thousands of public school students nationwide to compete in a fun, educational online contest that offers practical experience in financial investments. Participating students have the unique opportunity to learn firsthand about personal finance and economic principles by managing a hypothetical $100,000 online portfolio of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, impact investments, and cash.
At the end of the competition, the top 10 performing teams travel to Washington, DC. Since its inception in 2004, CHC has made 7,000 Congressional matches with schools, reaching nearly 160,000 students across the country.
This year, Representatives Joyce Beatty and Young Kim delivered remarks to the winning students at the award ceremony held in the U.S. Capitol on June 14, 2023.
